What is BJJ?
Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling martial art. You learn to take an opponent to the ground, control them and win with a joint lock or choke, without punches or kicks. Classes are trained in the Gi (a jacket and trousers you can grip) or No-Gi (a rash guard and shorts), and most end with sparring, called rolling.
